The upcoming Wizarding World RPG Hogwarts Legacy will be coming to Nintendo Switch as well as previously-confirmed consoles, according to the developer. More details on the game were recently released during the second March PlayStation State of Play event, which focused solely on Hogwarts Legacy with around 14 minutes of new gameplay.
Hogwarts Legacy comes from WB Games' Avalanche Studios, and promises to offer fans of the franchise a new experience that differs from both the books and movies on which it's based. Set in the 1800s, players become a student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, participating in a range of activities seen throughout the series. Along with attending classes like Herbology, witches and wizards can explore the castle, solve puzzles, uncover dungeons, engage in combat with friends and foes, and enjoy typical RPG mechanics like character customization, all within a large open-world. While Hogwarts Legacy was confirmed to release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, fans were unsure if it would be available on Nintendo Switch.

Revealed in a new Hogwarts Legacy FAQ, Avalanche and WB Games have confirmed that the Harry Potter-inspired RPG will be coming to Nintendo Switch, as well as both current and last-gen consoles, and PC. As with most large games on Switch, it's very possible the title will be a cloud release, which users can stream to their Switch. This is often done to allow bigger, more detailed games to launch on the console despite its technical limitations. At the time of writing, this has yet to be confirmed.
