Veteran developer Hideo Kojima could be working on a PlayStation 5 game, a new image which shows off a development kit suggests.
Tweeted by Kojima, the image shows what is presumably Kojima Production’s new home. In the background, it is possible to see what is clearly a PlayStation 5 development kit.
While it could be a holdover from Death Stranding, it appears to be connected up, implying it’s currently in development use.

This is potentially notable as it’s been reported that Kojima is currently working on an Xbox game. First reported last year, the project, which is said to utilize Microsoft‘s Cloud technology was still on “as of a couple of weeks ago”.
Speculation recently grew that Kojima Productions could be the next studio to be acquired by Sony, following an update to Sony’s PlayStation Studios website.
Over the past year the platform holder has acquired Haven, Bluepoint Games, Housemarque, Nixxes Software and Firesprite.
Kojima would thentweet the image, before following up by claiming that Kojima Productions plans to stay independent.
Hideo Kojima founded Kojima Productions in 2005, under the control of Konami, where he worked for over 30 years and created the Metal Gear series.
After splitting from Konami in 2015, he reformed Kojima Productions as an independent studio, backed by PlayStation.
In March, Kojima revealed that the studio was relocating after five years at its Tokyo-based office.
