We’re having a hot hot summer in much of the world. Thanks to global warming, a recent heat wave struck Europe with record temperatures so high that both Nintendo and Valve had to release statements warning players against using their handheld devices in non-air conditioned buildings.
Even with air conditioning, some people found their personal electronics suffering just as much as they were. Even Superman couldn’t keep his computer safe. Henry Cavill (who also stars as Geralt in Netflix’s Witcher adaptation) recently took to Instagram to report some tech troubles caused by the summer heat.

"Due to excessive transit over the years, and no doubt the recent heat wave, my AIO cooler decided to give up on me (which is a computer thing for those scratching their heads right now)," wrote Cavill on Instagram. "Soooo while replacing it I decided to upgrade my fans as well. These little beauties run niiiiice and quietly. I still have 2 more on the way to complete the set, but I became enormously impatient and installed the ones I had anyway."
Back in 2020, Cavill impressed us by building his own gaming rig. Cavill’s struggle to construct his computer resonated with geeks around the world, leading to an influx of supportive memes. For all his looks and monster-slaying powers, Cavill still managed to install his water cooler upside-down.
Fast-forward to last weekend, and it looks like Cavill has replaced his burnt-out cooler with the NZXT Kraken Z73 and added several 120mm fans for good measure. And he didn’t install any of them the wrong way.
