Long YouTube video sessions will soon get interesting with this new update! From now on, YouTube will display the “most replayed” parts of videos. Some users may have tested this as part of an experiment for YouTube Premium subscribers, but now, all the viewers on desktop and mobile version will be able to get the most replayed highlights while playing a video. This will help to bounce the boring detailed parts of the video, and let you skip to the interesting part of the video that is being played most by the other users.
YouTube mentions that a graph will appear behind its progress bar that will help you identify the popular parts of the videos. “If the graph is high, then that part of the video has been replayed often. You can use the graph to quickly find and watch those moments,” YouTube mentioned. This new graph will be visible as you move through the progress bar. According to YouTube, if it's high up that means that part of the video has been replayed more often than others. Besides this, a thumbnail will also appear when you will be watching the "most replayed" parts of any video.
Not just most replayed part of the video, but YouTube has also announced several other new updates and features. While some are new, and some are the existing ones which will be expanded to more devices. One of these is video chapters, which was launched back in May 2020.
