A full four weeks after its premiere, the Halo series is finally starting to take form, and its latest teaser trailer is definitely catered toward fans who were missing the games' FPS action because a full-on Covenant fight is coming to Paramount Plus next week.
The first couple of Halo episodes caught the ire of many gamers and failed to wow critics, as many found the massive differences between video game source material and the show to be a turnoff. Nevertheless, since episode three, the series gained some brief momentum despite or because of Master Chief showing his fully naked body. At a time when Halo Infinite gets beaten by Master Chief Collection in numbers of active players, the TV show look like the safer way to carry gamers into the current title’s season 2.
Halo: Is The Show Worth Watching For Fans Of The Games?
In order to do that, Halo is finally ready to bring out the big guns, as next week’s episode will feature its first true battle with the Covenant since the premiere’s showcase of Master Chief's combat skills. The trailer picks up right after Halo's latest episode, which saw Master Chief and Dr. Halsey find the second Forerunner artifact of great significance in the show, while at the same time examining fellow Spartan Kai-125’s own arc of disobedience after she also removed the implants that restricted her emotions. Other characters popping up in this footage are Soren and Kawn, although the these two’s story currently seems to lack the same clear sense of direction that’s been given to the rest of the cast.
