Members of Halo Infinite's community are still suffering from major desync issues as evidenced by numerous threads and videos posted to the Halo Infinite subreddit and elsewhere. Although 343 Industries has been aware of Halo Infinite's rampant desync issues, there have been no signs of relief for the many players frustrated by this problem.
As the most recent entry into the beloved and long-running Halo franchise, Halo Infinite initially enjoyed a large number of players thanks to its free-to-play multiplayer model. Unfortunately, the game's multiplayer has been the source of much frustration for fans due to a number of glaring problems. Poor performance, rampant cheating, matchmaking issues, and microtransactions are among a few of the issues cited by players, but perhaps the number one complaint is with regards to the game's multiplayer stability.

One of the main issues encountered by players is the rampant desync errors in Halo Infinite multiplayer matches. Basically, desync is an information disconnect between what the server thinks the player is doing, and what the player is actually doing. This leads to incredibly irritating situations such as doing no damage to enemies despite appearing to hit them repeatedly or instantly dying near ledges because the game thinks the player has continued to walk over them. To make matters worse, there is no indication that a desync is occurring until the infuriating consequences are made obvious as players suddenly die under confusing circumstances.
