343 Industries dropping Halo Infinite's multiplayer on us a as a very welcome surprise a month ahead of time almost feels like a lifetime ago now. Many of you will be so well versed in Infinite's multiplayer that it's hard to imagine a time it wasn't a part of your regular rotation. 343 has also been doing a pretty great job of keeping things fresh. Although considering Halo's 360 servers were only closed down last week and people were still playing when that happened, maybe that's not needed.
Either way, 343 has been cycling themes in and out since launch and has now confirmed what the next one will be. As was shown on Infinite's roadmap, and discovered by data miners, Infinite multiplayer's next event will be Cyber Showdown. The reveal trailer for the event can be found below, and it begins tomorrow on January 18.

The trailer shows a rather confused Spartan checking out an arcade machine only to be blasted into oblivion by a rival moments later. Make sure you don't do that when Capture The Flag and Slayer are rotated in as part of the event as well as King Of The Hill and Attrition for the first time in Infinite. The match types being cycled in have been revealed as part of the aforementioned leak and not yet confirmed by Infinite's devs.
The Cyber Showdown leaks seem likely to be accurate based on the sole new cosmetic flaunted in the trailer above. A neon mohawk which dataminers previously revealed to be the reward for players who manage to achieve rank ten during the Cyber Showdown event. That will seemingly be a little easier to do than it has been in the past because again, if the dataminers are to be believed, the new event will run until January 31.
