Nearly all armor pieces in the most recentHalo InfiniteSeason 2 trailer will be available to earn through the game's battle pass, according to a statement from the Halo community manager. The second season of Halo Infinite, which is set to be released early next month, aims to expand and enhance the content that is already available in the game.
Many Halo Infinitefans are hoping for a major shakeup to the game over the next few months. The free-to-play multiplayer mode came as a surprise launch this past fall, earning almost universal acclaim from both critics and players. This praise was delivered in spite of what many considered to be issues with the game, primarily a shortage of content and an unsatisfying progression system. It's been a few months since the live-service game's initial launch, though, and these detractors don't seem to think that these shortcomings have been resolved. The developers at 343 Industries have acknowledged issues with Halo Infinite's gear and level system, but there are still several unhappy fans who feel that the company could be doing more to deliver worthwhile content.

A sense of optimism has been growing since the reveal of Halo Infinite's second season and its accompanying teaser trailer, however. The short trailer showed off a number of stylish and interesting pieces of armor, and the game's community manager Brian Jarrard (via Forbes) recently tweeted that just about all of these pieces of gear will be available through a "mix of free and premium" battle pass tracks.
