The Steam Deck finally launched last month. Valve's ambitious new handheld console that allows you to play PC games on the go. The thing is, even though the Steam Deck is out now, finding out which games work and which don't is a little confusing. There's actually a handy website to check that scans your Steam library and tells you exactly how many of your games are playable, which ones have been verified, and also the ones that simply won't work on a Steam Deck, at least not yet.
If you were specifically wondering which of Xbox's games will work on your Steam Deck, well, Microsoft has provided an answer. The list of verified and playable titles is a long one. However, there are some very notable omissions tucked away on the non-compatible list right at the bottom of the page. Halo Infinite leads the way, and The Master Cheif Collection is on there too.

In fairness, the unplayable list is a very short one. The only other titles on there are Gears 5 and Microsoft Flight Simulator X. The biggest problem is the lack of explanation as to why those games won't work on the Steam Deck. Xbox cites nothing more than anti-cheat, however, Digitial Foundry (via Eurogamer) has highlighted that even Infinite's campaign mode cannot be played on Steam Deck.
Thankfully, the list of verified and playable games is much longer. Deathloop, Psychonauts 2, and Prey all make the verified list, which means they will run on the console without issue. Sea Of Thieves and Forza Horizon 5 make it into the playable category which means they should play on your Steam Deck without issue, but there may be some bugs and issues.
