Acclaimed movie director John Carpenter is also known to be a video games lover. His latest passion is Halo Infinite, which he believes is simply the best of the massive series yet.
Carpenter, who is known for directing The Thing, Halloween, Escape from New York, and They Live, praised the latest entry in the Halo universe on his official Twitter account. "Halo Infinite is a fun shooter," the filmmaker wrote. "Immense beautiful production design." Overall, Carpenter considers the new first-person shooter "the best of the Halo series" comprising 12 games now — three of which were developed by 343 Industries starting from Halo 4 ten years ago.

Such high praise from Carpenter didn't go unnoticed by the developer team. Founder and head of 343 Industries Bonnie Ross appeared in the thread, sharing his gratitude. "Wow. Thank you for spending your creative time in our world," he said. The official Halo account didn't stand aside either, and wrote: "Thank you for dropping by Zeta Halo! We're very glad you could join us."
John Carpenter is not the only famous person to be blown away by Halo Infinite, though. Billionaire Elon Musk also commented on the topic, adding the game has a "good campaign." We don't know how much time Musk spent with the title, however, but it looks he at least gave its story a shot. The tech entrepreneur also likes to play games to unwind, and Infinite seems to be one of his latest titles.
Despite his age, 74-year-old Carpenter often comments on video games on his socials. For instance, back in 2020, the director revealed he enjoyed Assassin's Creed Valhalla very much, calling it "a return to excellence in the franchise" and "beautifully designed
