The much-talked-about feature that Android users have been using for years, the Always-on-display, is expected to arrive on the Pro models of the iPhone 14 series. Yes, the lower models will still not get it. Well, Apple hasn't mentioned this feature during the WWDC 2022 event, nor has it been mentioned in the list of iOS 16 features. However, earlier, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, and now a report by 9to5Mac, suggest the always-on-display feature with iOS 16. The Always-On-Display is a smartphone feature that lets your device continue to show limited information even while the phone is asleep, which is widely available on Android smartphones. As spotted by 9to5Mac, there are a number of references that this upgrade is available in the code of iOS 16 including a mention of it in something called Springboard, which Apple uses to manage the lock screen.
