Ever since its reveal at EA Play 2020, fans of Skate have been wondering when they would next see the long-awaited fourth installment in the franchise. According to a new report, it may not be too long before Skate 4 is fully revealed, as EA plans to showcase the game as soon as July.
At the time of Skate 4's official announcement, fans only received a confirmation of the game’s existence as it entered its early stages of development. Since then, news surrounding the game has been mostly silent except for a brief behind-the-scenes trailer where various developers and prominent skateboarding pros reiterated that they are “working on it.” EA has been notably absent from recent gaming industry events like Summer Game Fest, but today’s news indicates that the company has something to share very soon.
Skate 4 PC Port Confirmed
Reputable industry insider, Tom Henderson, claims that Skate 4 will be revealed in July via undisclosed sources. At the time of this writing, it is unknown what EA will showcase with its full reveal next month, but recent news of internal play testing and leaked gameplay snippets suggest that it could very well be full-on in-game footage. Henderson also reports that fans could be getting their hands on Skate 4 shortly after the reveal. Today's report indicates that EA plans to host gameplay sessions for content creators and journalists to report first impressions and likely give feedback as the game continues development.
After two years since its reveal, it would make sense for Skate 4 to materialize again in 2022. Henderson’s report also aligns with EA’s recent statements regarding the development status of Skate. Earlier this year, EA hosted a shareholder earnings call where CEO Andrew Wilson
