Earlier this year, Japanese developer Grasshopper Manufacture, which is best known for the No More Heroes franchise, started teasing a new announcement on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, leading many to believe that the studio will be unveiling what it’s working on now that it’s moved on from the aforementioned action franchise. That tease came through a countdown on the developer’s official website, which was set to end on June 10, however, it seems whatever it is counting down to has been pushed back by a few days.
The official website for Grasshopper Manufacture’s 25th anniversary has been updated, and the countdown in question has now been updated. At the time of writing, it is set to end a little over 9 days and 17 hours from now. That would mean whatever it is counting down to will be unveiled on June 15 (or June 14, if you’re considering Pacific Time).
As before, what exactly the countdown could be building towards remains a mystery. Last year, it was claimed in leaks that Grasshopper Manufacture was working on a new AAA survival horror Alien game that was allegedly taking cues from the likes of Silent Hill and Resident Evil. The game is allegedly due out Holiday 2023, so if the leak is accurate, that would suggest an announcement should be made in the coming weeks.
