Gotham Knights isn't exactly the most anticipated game of the year. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that Batman is really, actually, surely dead. Or, maybe it's because Red Hood suddenly has magical powers, or that the final boss has leaked, or even the hefty PC requirements. Unfortunately, yet another reason has been to this list, if you're the kind that cares for framerate.
WB has confirmed the rumours about the console vrsion of the game being capped at 30fps. In fact, Gotham Knights executive producer, Fleur Marty clarified why this is the case. "I know many of you are wondering about the availability of a performance mode for Gotham Knights on consoles," said Marty on the game's Discord channel. "Due to the types of features we have in our game, like providing a fully untethered co-op experience in our highly detailed open-world, it's not as straightforward as lowering the resolution and getting a higher FPS. For this reason, our game does not have a performance/quality toggle option and will run at 30FPS on consoles."

Most modern games, especially those on current gen consoles, let players choose between playing the game in Visual or Performance mode. Visual prioritizes resolution, while Performance does so for framerate. Unfortunately, as Marty mentioned, Gotham Knights' co-op feature makes this a bit more complicated than with single player games.
