Godfall is coming to Xbox consoles and Steam on April 7. The news comes courtesy of two brief trailers confirming Godfall Ultimate Edition will include everything the game has received since releasing in November 2020, including the base game, Fire & Darkness expansion, as well as the Ascended and Pre-Order cosmetic packs.
But that's not all. Gearbox also confirmed Godfall is receiving an Exalted update that will bring multiple new features that fans have been requesting for quite some time. Some of those features include a new streamlined inventory management system as well as Knockdown 2.0, a new skill that lets players get up and back into the action after being knocked on their ass by a giant sword.

New gameplay features will include matchmaking for certain activities such as the new Spirit Realms activity, which supports up to five players. There's also a new revive system for cooperative play, and new weapons with Timing Attacks that fire off after using certain weapon techniques. Finally, the Tower of Trials will have a new Exalted mode with enemy levels up to 150.
News of Godfall's wider release comes over a year after the game's exclusive release on PlayStation and the Epic Games store. Godfall received largely tepid reviews on release owing to a lack of end-game content and a campaign that stretched its gameplay through repetitive resource grinding. However, Godfall was the first game to truly show the PlayStation 5's graphics potential, and many of the original complaints were solved with the release of the Fire & Darkness expansion which added several new end-game modes such as Lightbringer and the Tower of Trials.
