The next roadmap of content releases for The Sims 4 will be released by the development team in May. In the past, roadmaps have teased both upcoming free and paid Sims 4 DLC content that is set to be released in the months following the announcement. Since its release in 2014, over 30 expansions of various sizes have been released for the popular simulation game.
The Sims 4 has four different sizes of DLC content: the largest, Expansion Packs, typically offer entire new worlds and large gameplay concepts, while Game Packs generally introduce one new large feature. There are also Stuff Packs and Kits, which both offer small amounts of items or clothing based on a specific theme. The Sims 4 has also recently received many free content updates in the past few months, adding things like new foods and cultural clothing items through the game's new Sims Delivery Express system. A Sims 4 roadmap was released for the game at the beginning of 2022, outlining two kits and one game pack that would be released in the first three months of the year. The last of those releases wrapped up with the release of the Decor to the Max Kit that was released in late March. Since then, the Sims 4 team has yet to release a new roadmap for the rest of 2022.
