God of War Ragnarok is easily one of the most highly-anticipated games of this coming holiday season, and so it's safe to say many fans would be disappointed if the game was pushed back yet again. Luckily, it doesn't seem as though fans have to worry about a God of War Ragnarok release date delay just yet.
God of War Ragnarok producer Cory Barlog recently took to Twitter to tell the Internet to «be cool,» accompanying the tweet with a gif of Baby Yoda. This tweet sparked speculation that the God of War Ragnarok release date was being pushed back again, causing quite a stir in the game's community. Perhaps in response to this reaction, Barlog followed up on the tweet by clarifying that there is no God of War Ragnarok release date delay.

There is a great deal of speculation on Twitter about what inspired Barlog to send out the initial tweet. Some have guessed that perhaps Barlog has been seeing a lot of the negative posts aimed at PlayStation recently in the wake of Death Stranding coming to PC Game Pass, and so the «be cool» was in response to that toxicity. Another theory floated by fans is that God of War Ragnarok may have a controversial reveal soon that could potentially upset some players, and so Barlog is trying to calm fans down ahead of time. There is no actual evidence for this, though, and in fact, there is no indication that Barlog's tweet is related to gaming at all.
