Ghostwire: Tokyo is full of a myriad of side quests for players to complete like the Voice in the Wall, where Akito must help a former repairman locate his missing employer. Side quests are often issued by the Spirits of Tokyo's residents that are unable to move on to the next life due to something keeping them attached to the material world. This particular Spirit is concerned for his employer's safety, as he lost contact with his boss before the events of the game began.

It's the perfect quest for players who are looking to explore Tokyo and take their time leisurely through the game, and it also introduces players to the Nurikabe. Nurikabe is a type of Yokai in Japanese Folklore, often taking form as a type of unseeable force preventing people from escaping rooms or similar confined spaces. To all but Akito and KK, this Yokai is invisible, disguised as a door to the untrained eye.
