Genshin Impact's elements are core to the game not only for the design of its many playable characters but also for the overall hemings of each of Teyvat's regions. MiHoYo's popular RPG has so far divvied up its playable characters among six of the seven main elements found within Teyvat, with many believing the arrival of Dendro, Genshin Impact's seventh element, will arrive before the end of 2022. Now, a recent event has fans of the game speculating MiHoYo's most recent event may be teasing the addition of a seventh previously unknown element.
Since Genshin Impact was first released in October 2020, the various elements have been a core mechanic of the gacha RPG's gameplay. Striking enemies with attacks of two different elements provides a variety of different Elemental Reactions from freezing enemies to creating shields and many players build their teams around maximizing the effectiveness of certain elements. The seventh main element announced with the game, Dendro, has thus far seen enemies but no playable characters yet. Now, the recent Three Realms Gateway Offering event in Genshin's Enkanomiya region may be hinting at the upcoming addition of an eighth element.
