Genshin Impact players don't seem too happy about the game file being increased with each new update. The game's frequent update schedule keeps introducing new versions of the game every 6-7 weeks.
The game's attention to detail, especially in the recently introduced Sumeru region has probably a large impact on the overall size of Genshin Impact's game file. Reddit user demiwaltz has started an interesting debate on the matter on the game's official subReddit.

They shared an image showing that the size of their game file is 47.9 GB at the moment. A couple of replies in the comment section claim that they have been playing the game since version 1.0 and their file size is around 75 GB. However, it should be noted that these players probably have all the voice packs installed which can take up a big part of the storage. For example, the English voice pack back in Genshin Impact update 3.0 was almost 8 GB which means that players who delete three out of the four voice-over language packs can free up a lot of space on their device.
A couple of comments claim that HoYoverse should add an option for players to delete voice lines of previous quests since they probably won't be replaying them in the future. Genshin Impact's mobile players are probably affected the most by the large file sizes, but they can free up some space by deleting and redownloading the game once every new update arrives. Upgrading to a new version of the game won't delete the files that are related to the limited content that arrived in the previous patch.
