Genshin Impact Catalysts are one of the game's weapon types, and each of them has a corresponding element and Vision. Reddit user Dabian111 has observed several details in Catalysts while playing as the Geo character Ningguang. Each Catalyst in the post focuses on different illustrations and text inside, with Ascension playing a role in how the Catalyst appears. The pages of the tome that is the Catalyst aren't the only thing that varies, as Dabian111 shows that reaching Ascension changes the Genshin Impact weapon in other ways.

The first Genshin Impact Catalyst that Dabian111 shows off is The Widsith, which has a left page that features a colorless bunch of grapes with some text, while the page next to it is full of writing. In Genshin Impact's story, The Widsith once belonged to a member of the Wanderer's Troupe who fought against the Lawrence clan and failed which made it possible for players to acquire it. The Ascended version of The Widsith fills in the grapes and their leaves with appropriately purple and green colors and the majority of the Catalyst's cover turns from blue to brown.
