This could be HoYoverse's way to compensate for the three-week delay that occurred during Version 2.6. Having the upcoming update 3.0 one week shorter will also allow 3.1 to arrive right on time for the game's second anniversary. Every other update after 3.2 will most likely go back to the usual six-week duration, three weeks for each banner cycle.
