Genshin Impact's new major update is just around the corner and players are eager to explore the game's fourth major region named Sumeru. HoYoverse's recent trailers described the region as a mysterious land filled with deserts and rainforests.
As per usual, the new major nation will arrive part by part over the next couple of updates. A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed that there might be some interesting changes to HoYoverse's usual update schedule.
Genshin Impact Leak Shows A New Majestic Cafe in Sumeru
According to a credible leaker named Uncle Chasm, the three upcoming Genshin Impact updates will apparently be shortened by one week. This could be HoYoverse's way to compensate for the three-week delay that occurred during Version 2.6. Having the upcoming update 3.0 one week shorter will also allow 3.1 to arrive right on time for the game's second anniversary. Every other update after 3.2 will most likely go back to the usual six-week duration, three weeks for each banner cycle.
These leaks have also been hinted at by rumors claiming that the Battle Pass for Genshin Impact update 3.0 will be one week shorter than usual. A number of replies in the comment section claim that they don't mind the shorter update considering that there are usually not as many new activities in the last week of every banner cycle. Previous rumors claiming that 3.0 might be divided into two banner cycles have been recently debunked as credible leakers confirmed the limited five-star characters that will arrive appear in the update.
