Coming from studio Build a Rocket Boy and the former producer of Grand Theft Auto, Leslie Benzies, Everywhere has been shown off during Gamescom 2022. However, judging by its mystifying teaser trailer, I think the developer is leaning more towards an ‘online experience.’ There’s a lot going on in the teaser trailer, so it’s hard to pin down what kind of game Everywhere is. My guess? It’s just about everything.
Thankfully, I have a press release to guide me along. Everywhere, as explained in said release, is a “long-anticipated multi-world gaming experience.” Oh, so I was right. The game is basically shaping up to be a fully online and persistent universe. Action, adventure, racing, and more will be featured. By “multi-world gaming experience,” Everywhere is getting advertised as a highly ambitious game where fans of pretty much any and all genres can find plenty to do.
“Our intent has always been to push the boundaries of what a videogame can be while still delivering an innovative player-first experience,” said Leslie Benzies, game director and Build A Rocket Boy chairman. “The team we’ve built and the partners we’ve made since our founding are coalescing around the unique vision we’re bringing to life. It’s exciting to be a part of, and we can’t wait to reveal more about EVERYWHERE in coming months.”
