HoYoverse revealed Kuki Shinobu and Yelan as new playable characters for Genshin Impact's Version 2.7 and players will have the opportunity to pull for both characters during the new update. Leaks from the Version 2.7 beta were prevalent online, which resulted in Shinobu's Talents and gameplay being shared throughout multiple social media platforms. As the newest 4-star character introduced in the game, players are eagerly anticipating her release.

Kuki Shinobu is the Deputy Leader of the Arataki Gang, a small organization led by Arataki Itto in Genshin Impact. She comes from a family of shrine maidens but decides to pursue a different path in life. Despite not having an official appearance in the game yet, Shinobu has been regarded by other characters as being a talented individual who specializes in many professions. She often helps the Arataki Gang with legal problems and has bailed Itto out of jail on multiple occasions.

Kuki Shinobu wields an Electro Vision and uses a sword in battle, similar to the 5-star character Keqing.
