A new post on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subReddit reveals more details about a new game mode that should arrive in the foreseeable future. Over the last couple of weeks, credible leakers have been hinting at a new permanent trading card mode which created a lot of hype for the next updates.
Since Genshin Impact arrived back in September 2020, players have been asking for more permanent game modes to be added. At the moment, the only piece of end-game content that proposes a challenge is the famous Spiral Abyss.

According to the leak, players will have the option to invite characters to a duel at the Cat's Tail through an invitation board. Challengeable NPCs will apparently be spread over the world of Teyvat and their locations can be tracked with a new deck-building gadget. Previous Genshin Impact leaks have revealed that the new game mode will have online matchmaking and weekly commissions which will be unlocked after players reach level 2. Each player will have the option to choose their initial character at the beginning of each game.
Although rumors have previously been hinting that the new mode will arrive in the next update, the current beta does not have a lot of details about new TCG mechanics which means that it probably won't be a part of the upcoming Genshin Impact version 3.1. The game has already confirmed three new characters for update 3.1: Nilou, Cyno, and Candace. A popular leaker named Ubatcha1 has revealed that the new TCG mode will arrive in update 3.2.
