On Saturday, May 28, GameStop stores around the United States will host a one-day event allowing PowerUp Rewards Pro members to purchase PS5 bundles in-store. This marks GameStop's first in-store event for the PS5 in more than a month, with the most recent of such opportunities for customers taking place in early April. While current-gen consoles continue to become more readily available compared to launch, the hardware remains severely supply constrained.
Sony shipped the PS5 in November 2020, putting the device on track to become the fastest-selling home console in US history. The PlayStation-branded hardware has since maintained a healthy sales pace, too, with over 17.3 million units sold as of December 31, 2021. However, Sony noted earlier this month that PS5 missed its sales target for the financial year ending in March 31, 2022. This, of course, comes down to the company's inability to meet the incredibly high demand for the newer PlayStation. But United States residents looking to invest in a new console may find themselves in luck this weekend.

Tomorrow, May 28, GameStop (via GameSpot) will hold an in-store PS5 sales event at all of its United States locations — barring Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam. The wording on the retailer's official webpage notes the product will only be sold in bundles, though the contents and price of said bundles have not been publicly disclosed as of writing.
