Today is an exciting day for PlayStation fans. At 3pm PT, Sony will be hosting its latest State of Play presentation, which will offer about 30 minutes of game reveals and announcements related to third-party PlayStation 5 titles in addition to games that are in development for the PlayStation VR2 headset. The State of Play isn't the only reason why PlayStation fans should be excited for today, though.
PlayStation gamers who have yet to get their hands on a PlayStation 5 console will soon have another chance to get one. Retail giant Walmart is restocking its supply of PlayStation 5 consoles, with both the standard edition and PS5 Digital Edition up for grabs. There are two things that PlayStation fans will want to keep in mind when it comes to this latest restock, however, with the first being that it's not going to be available to just anyone.
Walmart Store Still Advertising Xbox Section as 'Xbox 360'
In an attempt to combat scalpers and secure subscribers, Walmart has decided to make most console restocks exclusive to its Walmart+ subscription service. For those who may be unfamiliar with Walmart+, it costs $98 per year or $12.95 per month. It comes with various other perks besides first dibs on next-gen consoles, so frequent Walmart shoppers may want to stay subscribed to it. However, those who are just interested in trying their hand at the latest PS5 restock will want to do the $12.95 option instead.
