With PS5 availability continuing to be much lower than would-be users would like, it tends to be big news whenever a store does a restock. One of the most recent PS5 restocks came by way of Walmart earlier this month, but it appears that the retail chain is having some issues fulfilling all of the orders placed on June 2.
When Walmart announced it was going to have a PS5 restock, it was reasonably big news because the only way someone could place an order was if they were registered for the Walmart+ subscription service that costs $12 a month. It seemed to many that putting the orders behind a paywall would make it a bit easier to lay hands on a PlayStation 5, but some users are now reporting issues with their orders.

Over on the PS5 Restock subreddit, several users are asking questions about their orders and reporting that they aren't getting many answers. In a recent Shipping Posts/Updates megathread, the vast majority of posters expressed confusion over orders that appeared to be delayed with no new date or explanation. Other users reported that their orders still only said «placed» and hadn't changed to «preparing» or «shipped» since the day the orders were made.
One Redditor pointed out that it seemed as though many people were waiting for the PS5 restock order and asked if anyone had actually received their purchased console yet. So far, there hasn't been a response in the affirmative, with several posters saying the most information they've received is their order status being changed to «delayed.»
