GamesIndustry.biz features editor Marie Dealessandri and news editor Danielle Partis are being celebrated for their work with the site.
Dealessandri on Friday was named the winner of MCV/Develop's Women in Games Awards 2022 Journalism Impact category, which goes to "an individual who is using their voice to positively build the industry as well as hold it to account when needed."
Dealessandri has overseen the site's Academy section since its inception in early 2020, producing a variety of guides and advice columns based on expert sources on how to make and sell games.
She also expanded the the section beyond its original remit to include advice on key subjects like diversifying the industry, improving accessibility, and providing support and resources for those who have suffered harassment and abuse.
In addition to the Academy, she has also helped keep the industry up to date with ongoing news and produced long-form coverage of key issues, including her investigation into the International Game Developer Association's handling of misconduct reports.
Partis today was named as part of the 2022 She Plays Games 100. The list is designed to celebrate "100 of the video game industry's most inspiring women who are having a positive impact and are pushing boundaries."
