Built for it Nice review of Elden Ring, GC. It told me everything I need to know, and yet… I’m still not sure I’m going to get. I’m sure you can guess the problem already, because you hear a lot of people say it, but I just don’t think I’m good enough at video games to play it. Not only that, I don’t really have the time to be patient with it.
I tried the original Dark Souls and got frustrated almost immediately. I would’ve tried Bloodborne but I didn’t have a PlayStation 4, so this is really my next (last?) big chance to get into the games. I don’t think I’m terrible at games, there’s nothing else I avoid because it’s too hard, but then most AAA games don’t try to be difficult, that’s only really an indie thing because they can afford to do what they want.
I totally respect From for the way they make these games and they’re clearly very well designed, so I’m not suggesting they should change anything to suit me (I really wish other people thought that way too) but I’m just worried that I’m not built for the game.
I probably will take a crack at it though, as I notice it’s only £50, not £60 or £70. I can tell you I definitely appreciate that and I think it will push me over the edge into giving it a go, so good thinking there Bandai Namco or whoever’s choice it was.Doshin
