While developer Creative Assembly may be best known for its work on the Total War series or perhaps the survival-horror experience of Alien: Isolation, but it seems that the studio is often one to try new genres and gameplay styles, rather than sticking to producing similar titles. Creative Assembly's latest project, a multiplayer team-based shooter entitled Hyenas, seems to be unlike anything the developer has created before. The first-person shooter pits three teams of five players against each other in order to pull off a heist against some of the richest people in space.
Objective based, competitive gameplay has been seen plenty of times in gaming. Overwatch 2, for example, has players capture points or secure a payload. However, Creative Assembly ensured gamers that Hyenas will offer a new multiplayer shooter experience and showed off what an early version of the game would look like to a few people in a closed alpha test. It was requested to all those participating in the test that they not share anything about Hyenas.

For the most part, it seemed like the alpha test went well, with players not recording and sharing what they'd seen online. Recently, however, a video popped up on YouTube which has since been made private, displaying some alpha gameplay of Hyenas. There was about an hour of footage of the game available for fans to view, including some matches alongside a general showcase of what the game looks like in its alpha stage. All of it was heavily watermarked, with the leaker's username shown, so it seemed only a matter of time before it was taken down.
