The time is finally here; Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S24 series, with the Ultra variant being the crown jewel of the series. The phones have been in the rumor mill for as long as we can remember, and they are finally here. We have a complete breakdown of everything that you need to know.
Now, there are no surprises here as far as the core specs are concerned. The Galaxy S24 Ultra runs the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen for Galaxy. You are getting some added benefits here in terms of speeds over the standard chipset. The phone maxes out at 12 gigs of RAM, and you have the option to go for 1TB of storage if you wish to.
The front of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is what I would call the biggest change, to be honest. Samsung has decided to ditch the curved screen for a gorgeous 6.8-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and can go as bright as 2,600 nits. Now, I do understand that the peak brightness is not the highest when compared to others, but I can assure you that Samsung's screens are always class-leading. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Armor, and the same glass is found on the back in a frosted finish with a titanium frame in the middle.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra runs Android 14 on top of One UI 6.1 out of the box--this new version of the One UI adds a lot of AI-based features that we will be talking about in a separate post.
