The recent release of the Age of War update for Conan Exiles was met with unexpected issues that affected the gameplay experience for many players. Recently, lead designer of Conan Exiles, Dennis Douthett took to Reddit to address the issues experienced, and posed a new Booster Event for players that were affected.
According to Douthett, the primary problem was a critical glitch that caused buildings and placeables to lose stability and disappear. This was traced back to a change in the collision volume of two Nemedian foundation pieces, which led to conflicts with items built on top of these foundations before the update. The Conan Exiles team has acknowledged the issue and expressed their sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused, butmany players that put a lot of time into building out their bases that used Nemedian materials lost all of those materials they spent time gathering.
Now that the team has identified the root cause and are taking measures to prevent such incidents in the future they have created a plan to compensate for the lost time and resources by initiating a Booster Event from July 6th to July 20th. During this period, Challenge XP multipliers will be boosted by x5, daily reset increased to 20, resource spawn rates will be doubled on all Official Servers, and resource harvest rates will be tripled on PvE Official Servers.
Douthett expressly stated that the team is unable to restore the lost items, with the hope that these boosts will help players recover their progress and prepare for the battles in the Age of War.
