11 bit studios announced last year that Frostpunk 2 would be launching sometime in the first half of 2024, and at the recent Xbox Partner Preview, the developer confirmed a specific release date for the highly anticipated sequel- and it’s just slightly delayed from the previously confirmed window.
Frostpunk 2 will launch for PC on July 25, and as previously confirmed, will be available on PC Game Pass day and date. A new trailer has also been revealed, showcasing the game’s visual improvements, some familiar icy environments, and of course, the city that you’ll be building up and trying to defend against the harsh realities of the post-apocalyptic world of Frostpunk (which haven’t been made any less harsh by the 30 years that have passed since the events of the first game). Check it out below.
In January, 11 bit studios announced that Frostpunk 2 would also be releasing for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but a release date for those versions hasn’t yet been announced.
At the Xbox Partner Preview showcase, 11 bit studios also showcased an extensive new gameplay trailer for the upcoming The Alters. Check it out through here.
