Since Fortnite is an online multiplayer video game, it requires new updates and patches to receive bug fixes and gameplay improvements. Epic Games recently released a new patch update for Fortnite called v19.30, which adds more than a fair share of fixes to the game with some improvements to the main gameplay.
The new Fortnite patch update provides some quality-of-life improvements to the game that will help improve gameplay. One of the new changes is the added gyro controls on gyro-supported platforms with flick stick controls as well. The changes with flick stick were made in a collaboration between the Fortnite development team and flick stick creator Julian «Jibb» Smart.

Of course, Fortnite already had gyro-based controls for the game on the Nintendo Switch and Android. However, what's different is that «more robust gyro controls» were added to the game on both the Switch and Android as well as the PS4, PS5, and PC with the new patch update. Players can enable the gyro control and flick stick options in the “Touch and Motion” tab of Fortnite's settings. According to Jibb, the new gyro controls in the game will let players have a more natural command over their camera and weapon, whether they are holding the controller «upright, flat, or somewhere in-between.» Players will be able to turn the camera by just turning the controller, and gyro aiming allows for better aim adjustments in the game.
