A Discovery Of Witches may have come to an end, but a Gallowglass spinoff could be in the works – here’s what we know the possible show. Based on writer-historian Deborah Harkness’ All Souls book trilogy, Sky One series A Discovery Of Witches is a popular British supernatural drama that was adapted for the small screen by Mr. Selfridge screenwriter Kate Brooke, and it debuted in 2018. It’s set in a world where supernatural beings secretly live among humans and follows an academic and reluctant witch named Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) who discovers an ancient manuscript that’s coveted by vampires, demons and fellow witches alike.
A Discovery Of Witches has earned raves and a loyal fan base thanks to its rich characters and talented cast. Diana is a fan favorite, of course, as is her vampire love interest Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode) but one of the show’s most popular characters is Gallowglass de Clermont who is played by Outlander actor Steven Cree. Gallowglass made his Discovery Of Witches debut in season 2 and Cree’s performance as the honorable vampire warrior soon had audiences wanting to see more of the character.
