Leaks suggest that jetpacks could be making a return to Fortnite, this time with hovering capabilities included. Jetpacks were temporarily added to the massively popular battle royale title a few years ago, serving as just one of many unique gameplay changes in Fortnite.
As far as free-to-play live-service games go, Fortnite arguably sees more changes than most. Epic Games' immensely successful multiplayer game is regularly getting attention from the gaming community thanks to its jam-packed calendar of rotating content changes, introducing everything from new outfits to entirely different maps. Fortnite will occasionally introduce new elements to its core gameplay, with new additions like mantling and vehicles being notable examples. The most recent change to the Fortnite formula has been the removal of the famed building mechanic, which has perhaps offered the biggest shake-up to the moment-to-moment gameplay of Fortnite. New traversal options have also been introduced over the years, with things like Fortnite's Spider-Man web shooters allowing for new movement mechanics and challenges.

The tweet also stated that a new hovering mechanic that will allow players to shoot while in mid-air. HYPEX did not specify when exactly this new feature would be made available.
