Fortnite's The Big Bang event has officially arrived and it served as not only an epic dimension-hopping adventure that featured a performance by Eminem, but it introduced new LEGO, Rocket League-like racing, and Guitar Hero/Rock Band-like music games headed to Fortnite.
The event began when a meteor struck the map and collided with The Zero Point. This opened up a tear in space and time that took you and everything else around you through multiple realities or dimensions.
You enter a LEGO Fortnite world where you and your team become LEGO characters and tour the world on a glider. In it, you see LEGO people building, a monstrous dragon attacking a castle, a bustling town, and so much more. Everything is made out of LEGO and the terrain is gorgeous. The ray tracing effects are in full effect and create a mesmerizing glow and it made us with we could stay longer.
Luckily, this was actually a tease for the upcoming LEGO Fortnite survival crafting game headed to Fortnite on December 7. We don't know too much about the game mode yet, but this glimpse has us very excited.

If that wasn't bonkers enough, you're also dropped on top of a car in the middle of a race where Rocket League-looking cars are zipping around a track that looks like it might take place within a Fortnite map. You're given prompts at various moments that give you limited control over the vehicle but provide a sneak peek at how the gameplay mechanics will ultimately function. Drift, boost, thrusters, air dodge, and turbo were all on display, and though control was limited it was fun while it lasted.
