What sets Fortnite apart from all of its competition is the constant influx of new crossover skins and events. While there were rumors of a Last of Us crossover coming soon, these were shot down by Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann, but they were believable because just about anything could come toFortnite. It has included everything from skins based on the NFL toNaruto, and just about anything someone could think of in-between.
Now, it seems the latest crossover is with WWE, as part of Epic Game’s SummerSlam celebration. Indeed, WWE’s SummerSlam is just days away, with Logan Paul vs. The Miz, Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch for the Raw’s Women’s Championship, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship, and much more. WWE is promoting this major event in a number of ways, including a new theme song called “Summer Nights” by Jelly Roll.

Although John Cena is not on the SummerSlam card, he is a good pick to keep WWE on the mind. He’ll be added to the Item Shop on July 28 at 8 PM ET, and he comes with two outfits: his iconic Entrance Gear and his Ring Gear styles. TheFortnite outfits come as part of a full John Cena set, which includes the WWE Championship Title Back Bling (fitting for the 16-time Champion), the open-hand Five Digit Slapper pickaxe, and the U Can’t C Me Emote—based on his iconic handwave.
This is no doubt exciting, but it’s not the first time John Cena has been connected to Fortnite.
