Epic Games has confirmed that it's bringing back Fortnite's annual Halloween event Fortnitemares in October. Live service games like Fortnite thrive during holidays, and Halloween is especially exciting and enticing. Unsurprisingly, Fortnite has a long history with Halloween going back to Season 1. The Halloween event has returned every year since in new, spooky ways and Fortnite players have been anxious to hear more about what it's store for 2022. They'll have to wait a little longer to find out more about this year's Fortnitemares, though.
Fortnitemares 2021 will be the most likely blueprint for what Epic Games has planned for this Halloween. In 2021, Epic Games released a wave of Halloween-themed maps, games, and experiences for Fortnitemares. For better or worse, the focus was on premium Halloween outfits released in Fortnite's shop.
