Fortnite leakers have been sharing news regarding upcoming Dragon Ball Z content for some time now, as Epic has trickled Dragon Ball Z content into Fortnite's files week to week. What's been unclear is just when Epic planned to announce the Dragon Ball Z collaboration, when the event would begin, and how content would be made available. It seems Epic's now ready to start building to its next major Fortnite crossover.
Thursday, Epic Games shared its first teaser for the upcoming Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z collaboration. The good news is that it means Dragon Ball Z content will be arriving in Fortnite before long. The teaser includes a date, which is August 16. The bad news is that it's very much a teaser, with very little information beyond the provided date.

TheFortnite x Dragon Ball Z collaboration teacher includes a quote from the series, reading, «Speak. Name your wish...» The quote is, asDragon Ball Z fans well know, from the magical Eternal Dragon Shenron. Fittingly, the image included in the teaser on Twitter is of Shenron. The dragon shines bright gold, as if he was just summoned by the Dragon Balls and the summoner is now being asked for their wishes.
There is one extra detail worth pointing out from the teaser image. Shenron is not just floating in the air — he's floating in the air above a very recognizable location. It's the tree from Reality Falls, one of Fortnite's new Points of Interest for this season. Shenron is within the world of Fortnite in this image, and he's located at one of the key focus areas for the season.
