The current Fortnite season is coming to an end on March 8, sooner than expected, and this change has stirred up some mixed feedback in its gaming community. Fortnite is divided into chapters and seasons; chapters mean a whole different map, weapons, and NPCs, while seasons mean minor changes to gameplay, some weapons are vaulted, and NPCs come and go. For many, the best aspect of starting a new season is getting to experience a different Battle Pass and leveling it up.
Battle Pass cosmetic rewards are exclusive to each season, so they cannot be obtained any other way later on. This means that in order to get everything they're entitled to, players have to max out the pass before the end of the season. As soon as Chapter 4 Season 1 went live and the Battle Pass was revealed, players were aware that they would have until March 10 to complete it and when a new season arrived, it would no longer be available.
Fortnite Launches Limited-Time Most Wanted Event
Epic Games has recently announced that this season will be coming to an end a couple of days earlier than expected. Chapter 4 Season 1 will now end on March 8, at which point downtime and Season 2 will start on a Thursday, rather than a Saturday. The community response was fairly mixed as players that had already finished this Fortnite season's Battle Pass wanted a new one as soon as possible, and fans that fell behind needed those few extra days.
One of the main concerns about this date change was the addition of the new Geralt of Rivia quests. This Battle Pass quest line will be receiving a second part, February 28 (the last day of the month), and this means that players will only have eight days to complete all of them if they'd like to receive their exclusive rewards.
