Music plays a major role in the Fortnite experience. Epic Games has gone to great lengths to fill its battle royale with the sound of music, whether that be from the game's many dance emotes or the live concerts Fortnite players can attend with their in-game avatars. It only makes sense then for Epic to escalate its efforts and begin to partner with real-life events, too, which it has now down. On Thursday, Epic announced a partnership with the Coachella Music and Arts Festival to bring Coachella to Fortnite players in several exciting ways.
To start, Epic Games will be introducing a new Icon Radio station to Fortnite. Starting now and running through May 16, Fortnite players will be able to turn on Icon Radio within Joyride vehicles to listen to a playlist of artists playing at Coachella 2022. Over 30 different artists will be featured as part of the radio station. As for which artists players will be able to hear in Fortnite, they'll have to experience them for themselves. Epic doesn't list them, perhaps wanting to reserve the surprise for players to discover.

Beyond the Coachella radio station, Fortnite will also be releasing a number of skins and cosmetics related to the music festival over the next several weeks. Available starting today are the Wilder and Lyric Outfits, as well as matching accessories. Wilder matches with the Finfin Back Bling, Neon Biter Pickaxe, and Finfin Flair Wrap. Lyric matches with the Swaguaro Back Bling and Festival Shredder Axe. Both skins include Cosmic Equalizer alt styles that are visually reactive to music.
A second wave of Coachella cosmetics will then launch on Thursday, April 21, featuring the Alto and Poet outfits. Alto includes the Sonic Vibes
