Back in 2018 there were rumblings of Microsoft planning a return of the Fable franchise. Then, two years later at an Xbox Games Showcase, the new Fable title was unveiled, along with some details about the game. After the closure of Lionhead, Fable's original studio, Playground Games was announced to be taking on the mighty task of creating a new Fable experience.
