Netflix has released the first official teaser for the highly-anticipated series Vikings: Valhalla. The upcoming show will act as a sequel to the popular History Channel series titled Vikings, which ended in 2020. It was most popular for its epic battle scenes, and judging by the short teaser for the upcoming show, Vikings: Valhalla will follow in its predecessor’s footsteps.
The Vikings: Valhalla teaser introduces fans to some of the characters that will be an integral part of the Netflix series. Set 100 years after the original series, Vikings: Valhalla will explore the journey of the Vikings raising their weapons to take over England in an attempt to avenge the deaths of their people. The teaser promises a lot of action, blood and gore, and offers a sneak peek into some of the battles that the Vikings will be a part of in the early 11th Century.

The Vikings: Valhalla teaser begins with a pounding sound that seems to be getting closer. “I hear drums,” Louis Davison's Prince Edmund is heard saying. “No. Shields,” Laura Berlin's Emma of Normandy corrects him. What it is in reality is the sound of impending battle as the scene shifts to a shot of the Vikings, with shields and weapons in hand, preparing to go to war.
"You have been summoned here to avenge the death of Vikings," Bradley Freegard's King Canute of Denmark is heard saying in the teaser, and essentially declaring war on England. Several shots of war follow the monologue, which are as brutal as the ones that Vikings fans have gotten used to seeing.
