But until that verdict can be reached, many developers will work hard to deliver memorable experiences to those with the headset. To that end, the team at First Contact Entertainment is bringing the fire and fury via their upcoming title Firewall Ultra. The game is a follow-up to their hit first-person shooter, and they’re looking to bring even more to the table with its next game. On the PlayStation Blog, they dropped a new gameplay trailer and told fans what to expect from these gameplay announcements.
The team is very proud of the various features you’ll be able to use via the headset to give you a truly immersive gameplay experience. For example, if a flashbang is thrown at you, you can close your eyes to ignore the blinding effect. The headset will mimic you closing your eyes and has precision tracking to ensure you’re always looking where you want to look.
They also broke down the main game mode for players who are just finding out about the franchise:
“The primary PvP game mode called Contracts pits two teams of four against each other in a best-of-three series of matches that feature tense tactical combat across a variety of maps. In each match a defending team must protect a laptop full of classified intel using an assortment of gadgets and weaponry while the attacking team attempts to bypass the security access points and hack the laptop. Attackers need to tread carefully around maps and work as a team to decrypt the intel before time expires.”
