It's the end of the road next month for Xbox Games with Gold. So it's a bit fitting that one of the two titles on the way in August for the service is a racing game called Inertial Drift. Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can also look forward to Blue Fire.
Blue Fire is an adventure game similar to The Legend of Zelda that also takes inspiration from Hollow Knight and From Software's Souls series. The game apparently even features dungeons where new abilities can be found. For more, check out GameSpot's Blue Fire review. Alessandro Barbosa wrote that «Blue Fire is unquestionably fun to move around in but is hampered by design decisions that hold back its free-form platforming.»

Inertial Drift, meanwhile, is all about arcade racing with 16 cars and 20 tracks. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S and offers online multiplayer, according to Microsoft. All of this takes place under a retro future 1990s setting.
Keep in mind that the Xbox Games with Gold July lineup is still available, too. Darkwood is downloadable through the end of this month, while When the Past was Around stays on the service through August 15.
