Fast X is gearing up for its May 19 theatrical release with the unveiling of its final trailer. Check it out below.
The final trailer raises questions about the swift transformation of characters in The Fast Saga from street racers to skilled spies. Addressing a common criticism, the conversation between Agency members Aimes (Alan Ritchson) and Tess (Brie Larson) highlights the franchise's shift towards an espionage-focused narrative. It's perhaps no surprise to learn that as the film is poised to make sense of the wild ride the franchise has had up to this point, Vin Diesel revealed last week that Fast X may kick off a trilogy to tie up all the loose ends.
Fast X follows the journey of Dom Toretto (Diesel) and his loyal family, who have consistently outsmarted and outmaneuvered their adversaries against insurmountable odds. This time, they face their most dangerous opponent yet--a vengeful force from Dom's past, driven by a thirst for revenge and a determination to dismantle his family and everything he holds dear.
Directed by Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans, The Incredible Hulk), Fast X features an ensemble cast including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris «Ludacris» Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, and Scott Eastwood. The film also features Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron.
Fast X began production back in April 2022, but quickly ran into some speed bumps as director Justin Lin--who has long been associated with the franchise--abruptly exited the project.
Fast X hits theaters on May 19.
