Likewise, those aiming to catch this cephalopod will need to own Endwalker and progress far enough through the MSQ to reach this location in the expansion. Furthermore, Final Fantasy XIV players will need to be a Level 85 Fisher to be able to catch Thavnairian Calamari successfully. The recommended bait for this ocean fish type is the Mackerel Strip, a Level 90 bait purchasable from a Scrip Exchange Merchant for Purple Gatherers' Scrips ×5.
