Today, we got our first look at the next entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second of three planned entires, Square Enix confirmed today, and will arrive next winter for PS5.
The trailer closed out today’s Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebration. In it, we see Cloud walking around in an open area, soon joined by Sephiroth. The pair walk around a massive area, as questions circle around.
Cut-in text asks what will happen to the planet, and what Sephiroth’s endgame is. At one point, Aerith asks if she’s some kind of impostor. Then we see Zack and Cloud, walking towards Midgar, same as they were in the ending of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Final Fantasy VII series producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed in the presentation that the remake project will be composed of three parts: Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and one last unannounced game.
